Shajaan Muaz Shaheem

Shajaan Muaz Shaheem is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental compliance, activism, and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Head of Compliance for the Maldivian Environment & Stewardship Program at One Young World and as an Ocean Activist with Big Blue Ocean Cleanup, Shajaan also holds the position of Secretary General at the Elderly Foundation of Maldives and is the Founder of Resilience Maldives. Previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at Go Logistics and Regional Director at Blazon Inc. Pvt. Ltd, where responsibilities encompassed stakeholder engagement and administration. Shajaan's career began at the International Labour Organization as a Child Labour Associate, followed by positions in marketing management at Infinity Group and Atoll Key (Mude) focusing on strategic brand and campaign development. Early experience includes public relations internship at NCLHR, contributing to initiatives on cultural heritage and tourism for UNESCO.
