Yazmin Acevedo

Yazmin Acevedo is an experienced social work professional with a diverse background in case management and support. Currently serving as a Case Support Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters since January 2010, Yazmin focuses on assessing mentor-protégé relationships, ensuring child safety, and enhancing volunteer satisfaction. Previous roles include Education Case Manager at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, where Yazmin advised veterans on education benefits, and Project Coordinator II at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, responsible for translating educational materials into Spanish. Earlier experience as a Bilingual Case Manager at AIDGwinnett involved managing a significant case load for clients living with HIV/AIDS. Yazmin holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Interamerican University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
