Laura Balan, LMSW, currently serves as an E-Mentoring Program Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee since April 2025. Prior experience includes roles as a Pediatric Therapist at Allied Behavioral Health Solutions and Clinical Social Work Intern at Pathways Transition Programs, Inc. Laura has also interned at organizations such as Grandmothers Against Poverty and Aids, YMCA South Africa, and The Family Center TN, where practical experience was gained in diverse settings. Earlier roles included positions as a Brand Representative for Abercrombie & Fitch Co. and a Program Coordinator at Crowders Ridge, where interpersonal skills and program management were developed. Laura completed a Master of Social Work at The University of Georgia in May 2024 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Gordon E. Inman College of Nursing, earned in 2022.
