Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks’ mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks (BBBSO) operates under the belief that, inherent in every child, is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. Locally and nationwide, Big Brothers Big Sisters is the largest donor and volunteer supported one-to-one mentoring network.

BBBSO makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles) between the ages of 6-14. The majority of children served by BBBSO are from single-parent families, low-income families or households where a parent is incarcerated. Statistically, these children are more likely to experience crises that include child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and alcohol or drug abuse.

The Operations Team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks ensures the smooth functioning of organizational activities to support its mission. The Development Associate focuses on fundraising and maintaining donor relationships, the Match Support Specialist oversees and supports the one-to-one mentoring relationships between Bigs and Littles, and the Warehouse Associate manages inventory and logistics for any physical resources needed by the organization. Together, they ensure the organization runs efficiently and effectively in providing life-changing mentoring relationships.
