As the first direct health insurance fund in Germany BIG has pursued a consistently well-consideredand straightforward concept from the very start: that of the direct principle. We have no need of expensive branch offices and instead BIG uses modern methods of communication. Low administrative costs, excellent value for money and outstanding service are the conclusive result. BIG views itself as a health logistics expert. This means: innovative services for the individual and modern, sustainable concepts for the system overall. The prime focus is on optimum provision of health care. At the same time they want to offer their policyholders opportunities for savings and useful extra benefits. The subject of preventive care is also a special priority for us: since this is how to promote health in a targeted way, illnesses are prevented and the burden on the health care system is lessened.
