Nicolas Zimmer

Nicolas Zimmer has had a long and varied career in the Berlin area. Nicolas began in 2012 as the CEO (Vorstandsvorsitzender) of Technologiestiftung Berlin. In 2013, they joined both the Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin gGmbH and Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH as a Member of the Supervisory Board. In 2014, they became a Member of the Advisory Board for Code for Germany. In 2015, they joined TUBS GmbH TU Berlin ScienceMarketing as a Member of the Supervisory Board. In 2016, they became a Member of the Board of Advisors for Berliner Entrepreneurship Netzwerk von Hochschulen und Unternehmen. In 2017, they joined Freunde der Technischen Universität Berlin as a Member of the Supervisory Board. In 2022, they became Chairman of The Supervisory Board for IFAF Berlin - Institut für angewandte Forschung Berlin e.V., Member Of The Board Of Advisors (BMW Berlin Marathon) for SCC EVENTS GmbH, and Mitglied im Landesbeirat Digitalisierung for Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Familie.

Nicolas Zimmer obtained a Legal State Exam from Freie Universität Berlin in 1996. Nicolas then went on to complete the Bar Exam (Second State Exam) from Kammergericht Berlin in 2000. In 2009, they began studying Computer Science at FernUniversität in Hagen, but did not obtain a degree. In 2018, Nicolas Zimmer enrolled in the u.lab program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and they also obtained a Leading Change in Times of Disruption certification from the same institution that year. Nicolas is currently enrolled in the Sport Analytics: Data Driven Decision Making program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
