Barbara Jacobs

Barbara Jacobs has extensive experience in sports administration and coaching, currently serving as Assistant Commissioner for the Big East Conference since November 1995. In this role, Barbara coordinated All-Star team travel internationally and managed game scheduling, policies, and end-of-season tournaments for softball and field hockey. Previously, Barbara held coaching positions at Virginia Commonwealth University and Syracuse University, where Barbara was the Head Coach for women's basketball. Additionally, Barbara served as the Head Women's Basketball Coach, Head Men's Tennis Coach, and Head Field Hockey Coach at Hartwick College while also teaching physical education and holding a tenured professor position. Barbara holds a Master of Science in Physical Education from the State University of New York Cortland and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
