Daniel Castillo

Daniel Castillo has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Daniel is currently working as a Cloud Operations and Linux Engineer at Big Fish Games since July 2021. Prior to this, they gained extensive expertise at Red Hat Sudamérica y Caribe, where they served as a Red Hat Certified Instructor, Examiner & Consultant from August 2017 to August 2022, and as a Linux Consultant, Red Hat Certified Instructor & Examiner from January 2016 to August 2017. Daniel also worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Plesk from April 2019 to July 2021. Before that, they spent a significant part of their career at IFX Networks, where they held the role of a UNIX SysAdmin from June 2008 to January 2016, and a NOC Engineer from December 2005 to June 2008. Daniel's responsibilities included deploying and managing Linux systems, handling backups, updates, troubleshooting, and designing virtualization and cloud solutions. Daniel also achieved accomplishments such as setting up cross-platform backups to tape and optimizing response times for networking cases.

Daniel also attended bmind, where they earned a degree in RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) and specialized in Linux RedHat. Daniel Castillo earned the Red Hat Certified Engineer certification in December 2019 and the Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification in December 2015, both from Red Hat. Daniel also holds an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Linux from edX, obtained in August 2014. Daniel Castillo's other certifications include the Linux Professional Institute DevOps Tools Engineer from the Linux Professional Institute, obtained in December 2020, and the LPIC-1 (Linux Professional Institute Certification Level 1), obtained in January 2017. Daniel also received the Plesk Onyx Professional certification from Plesk in May 2019.
