Nevada Hamaker has extensive experience in software engineering and testing. Nevada began their career with Asymetrix/Click2Learn as a Software Test Engineer in 1996 and continued in that role until 2000. Nevada then joined Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer in Test, where they worked until 2006. During their time at Microsoft, Nevada also held a contract position as a Software Design Engineer in Test for the SharedView project. In 2007, they joined Electronic Evidence Discovery as a Software Test Engineer III. Nevada transitioned to Getty Images in 2009, where they worked as a Software Design Engineer in Test until July of that year. Nevada then moved to Microsoft, this time as a Software Design Engineer in Test on the Mobile Services Platform team, where they worked until August 2010. Nevada briefly worked at Mantis Technology Group as a Software Design Engineer in Test before joining Big Fish Games in November 2010. At Big Fish Games, they initially worked as a Senior Software Design Engineer in Test and eventually transitioned to the role of Software Engineer in January 2022. In their roles at Big Fish Games, Nevada was responsible for automated and manual testing, code branch management, merging, and performing releases using the continuous delivery pipeline.
Nevada Hamaker obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Math/Computer Science from Western Washington University. In April 2021, Nevada also obtained two additional certifications: "Building APIs with Swagger and the OpenAPI Specification" from LinkedIn and "First Look: PHP 7.4" from LinkedIn.
