Damian Cranney is a seasoned professional in design and user experience, currently serving as Managing Director at Big Motive since June 2012, focusing on creating impactful digital products and services. In addition to this role, Damian has been a User Experience Expert at DesignThinkers Agency since November 2020, contributing expertise in user research and design. As an External Examiner for the BA (hons) degree in Graphic & Digital Design at Letterkenny Institute of Technology from May 2018 to April 2023, Damian has provided academic oversight. Previous experience includes mentoring as a Design Thinking Coach at Catalyst and facilitating design-led innovation workshops through DesignThinkers Academy. As the Founder and Managing Director of Frank from January 2005 to June 2012, Damian led strategic design projects. Early career roles included Strategy Lead at Dynamo and Designer at Bisset Adams, alongside a brief tenure as a Design Researcher at Nike. Educational credentials include an MA in Design, Strategy & Innovation from Brunel University London and a BA (hons) in Design from Ulster University.
