Valerie Mayo

Valerie Mayo, M.Ed, is currently a 5th Grade Teacher at Needham Public Schools since August 2025. Valerie has garnered diverse teaching experience through roles such as 5th Grade Student Teacher at Wildwood Elementary School and 2nd Grade Student Teacher at Jackson Street Elementary School. Prior to these positions, Valerie worked as an After School Group Leader at Hampshire Regional YMCA and as a Classroom Observer at Leeds Elementary School. Additional experience includes internships and roles in various educational and service settings, including the Boston Outdoor Preschool Network and CBS Sporting Club. Valerie holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a focus on Community Education and Social Change from the same institution.
