Our prime focus is helping our communities strive for Zero Waste by developing circular economy solutions. Big Reuse: - diverts building materials, furniture and homegoods from the landfill at our reuse center - hosts green job training programs - operates the Compost Project hosted by Big Reuse to create compost for street trees and community gardens from NYC's organics waste stream - activates hundreds of volunteers to help green NYC - provides outreach for NYC's organics collection program reaching over 100,000 residents a year.
