Chirag Mahimkar

Chirag Mahimkar possesses extensive experience in the steel industry, currently serving as the Quality and Product Development Manager for Hot Rolled Products at Big River Steel since October 2015. Prior roles include Plant Metallurgist and Hot Mill Metallurgical Engineer at Steel Dynamics, Inc., where significant contributions included performing statistical data analysis, developing automotive specifications for major manufacturers, and optimizing production processes. Previous positions at Severstal NA and ArcelorMittal involved product development and research, emphasizing new steel grades and cooling mechanisms. Education includes a Master’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
