Wayde Grinstead

Wayde Grinstead, MA, MEd, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Civics Education at Big Shoulders Fund and as an Adjunct Instructor at Northwestern University School of Education and Social Policy. With extensive experience in educational consultancy, Grinstead has worked since May 2020 as an Education Consultant/Coach, focusing on Inquiry, Equity, Civics, SEL, and Curriculum Design. Previous positions include Instructional Coach at Sacred Heart Schools and High School Social Science & Civic Learning Specialist at Chicago Public Schools. Grinstead also contributed as a consultant for various organizations, including inquirED, Avoca School District 37, Citizens of the World Charter Schools, Chicago Public Schools, and the Anti-Defamation League. Grinstead holds an MA in Education from Brooklyn College, an MA in American Studies from the University of Maryland, and a BA in Economics from Kenyon College.
