Simon Allen

Simon Allen has been working in the field of property development for over 20 years. Simon began their career at Marks and Spencer as an acquisitions manager, responsible for acquiring stores in both high street and out-of-town locations throughout the UK. Simon then moved to McDonald's Corporation, where they worked as a senior acquisitions manager for three years. In this role, they were responsible for acquiring and developing car dealership sites across the UK on behalf of Volkswagen Group.

In 2010, Simon Allen joined Halfords Autocentres as head of property. In this role, they were responsible for expanding the Autocentre network throughout the UK, and oversaw the development of over 100 sites. Simon also had overall responsibility for the current estate of 300+ properties, including rent reviews, lease renewals, project management and maintenance.

In September 2016, Simon Allen left Halfords Autocentres to take up a new role as head of development at Big Yellow. In this role, they are responsible for leading the company's development projects and ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.

Simon Allen reports to James Gibson, Chief Executive Officer. Simon Allen works with Nicola Crosby - Head of Store Operations, Gabriella Zepf - Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, and Shauna Beavis - Financial Controller and Company Secretary.
