Melissa Pereira is an experienced software developer and data engineer currently working at BigDataCorp since September 2024. Previously, Melissa served as a Data Engineer at Proffer, where responsibilities included building and maintaining ETL processes, developing APIs and microservices, and deploying various data structures. Prior to that, as a Junior Data Engineer at Mutual, Melissa contributed to building an end-to-end data architecture and participated in establishing an agile data department. Early career experience includes roles as a Data Science Intern, where Melissa developed machine learning models and SQL dashboards, and as a Database Monitor at UFRJ. Additionally, Melissa has a background in education, having taught mathematics as part of a social inclusion initiative. Melissa is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
