Dana Wilson

Dana Wilson is the Advancement Grants and Operations Manager at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences. Dana has over ten years of experience in grant writing and philanthropy.

Dana began their career as a Development & Philanthropic Services Associate with The Boston Foundation. In this role, Dana assisted donors with their philanthropic projects, including due diligence, grant proposal review, grantmaking, and analysis. Dana also reported on Advised Fund grantmaking and income for senior staff and the Board of Directors.

In 2010, Dana transitioned to StreetSafe Boston Grantwriter, a consulting role with The Boston Foundation. In this role, Dana provided grant proposal writing services from home for the StreetSafe Boston youth violence reduction initiative. Dana also wrote grant proposals to state and foundation funding opportunities for StreetSafe Boston, drafted solicitation materials, email updates, and the annual report for initiative funders.

In their current role as Advancement Grants and Operations Manager at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, Dana oversees the Laboratory’s grants program and provides support to the advancement team on a variety of projects.

Dana Wilson has a BA in French Studies from Colby College. Dana also participated in the Cameroon Fall 1998 program at the School for International Training.
