Katie Miller

A writer and editor for almost a decade, Katie has worked on magazines, books, and blogs in New York City, Minneapolis, and Denver. Now, as she leads the publishing business at BiggerPockets, Katie’s goal is to connect readers with authors and their expertise in order to help ordinary people achieve true financial freedom. Since Katie joined the team in 2017, BiggerPockets books have won numerous prestigious awards, including the Robert Bruss’s NAREE award, the Foreword INDIES award, the Independent Press award, and many others.

Katie has been investing in real estate for five years with the purchase of her first house hack in Denver. She and her husband, Evan, now own 14 units between Denver and Omaha, and currently Airbnb the guest suite of their 100-year-old home with their Sheepadoodle, Tewla Badger.

She received her B.A. in Journalism from the Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Katie also received a post-grad certificate in publishing from New York University's Publishing Institute.
