Venkat Ranganathan

At Bigstream, Venkat Ranganathan is VP of Engineering, Big Data Platform & Services. Before joining Bigstream, Venkat was a Director of Engineering at Hortonworks. Venkat has more than 25 years experience in development and leadership roles at Hortonworks, Oracle, HP, Compaq, BEA Systems and Tandem Computers. He has experience in various areas like databases, tp monitors, fault tolerant systems, application servers, data warehousing solutions, big data systems, as well as cloud computing. He holds patents in cluster communications and leasing, efficient parallel result streams in data warehouse, replicating of datasets with associated governance and security policies across clusters.
