Amy Cinar

Amy Cinar has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical research industry. Amy currently holds the position of Portfolio Statistics Leader at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Biostatistics at Flexion Therapeutics from June 2018 to March 2022. Before that, they served as the Associate Director of Biostatistics at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from May 2015 to June 2018. Amy also held various biostatistician roles at Cubist Pharmaceuticals from September 2014 to May 2015 and Genzyme from March 2008 to August 2014, where they served as a Principal Biostatistician and Senior Biostatistician. Amy began their career as a Research Scientist at New England Research Institutes, Inc. from October 2006 to January 2008 and previously worked as a SAS Programmer/Data Analyst at Howard M. Proskin & Associates, Inc. from November 1998 to May 2001.

Amy Cinar has a strong educational background in the field of statistics and biostatistics. Amy earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they attended from 1994 to 1998. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education and received a PhD in Biostatistics from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, which they completed from 2001 to 2006.
