Elnaz Menhaji-Klotz has a diverse work experience that spans across several organizations. Elnaz started their career as a Chemistry Research Associate at Trinity College Dublin in 2002. Elnaz then worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Columbia University from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, Elnaz joined AstraZeneca as a Scientist for a brief period. Elnaz then moved to Pfizer, where they held various positions including Senior Scientist from 2010 to 2012, Principal Scientist from 2012 to 2015, and Senior Principal Scientist from 2015 to 2018. Since 2018, Elnaz has been working at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute, initially as a Discovery Project Leader from 2018 to 2019, then as a Business Development and Alliance Management Leader from 2019 to 2021, and currently as a Development Strategy Implementation Leader since October 2021.
Elnaz Menhaji-Klotz has pursued their education at Yale University, where they completed an MS and PhD in Organic Chemistry. Prior to that, they attended Barnard College, where they obtained a BA in Biochemistry.
