Leann Frankel has an extensive work experience in the field of vendor management and contract administration. Leann currently serves as a Strategic Sourcing Lead - Clinical Operations at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute. Prior to their current role, they worked at bluebird bio, where they served as an Associate Director, Vendor Management, and Sr. Manager, Clinical Contracts & Outsourcing. Before that, Leann worked as an Independent Consultant at Revance Therapeutics, where they developed SOPs and processes for the Contracts and Outsourcing group. Leann also has a significant background at Astellas US, LLC, where they held various positions including Director of Corporate Compliance, Director Operations - Global Contracts & Outsourcing, Director, Global Contract Lead, Contracts & Outsourcing, and Senior Manager, Contracts & Payments. Leann's early career includes the role of Director at the American Medical Association, where they developed a central organization database and was responsible for contract processing and administration.

Leann Frankel began their education in 2001 at DePaul University, where they pursued a degree in Healthcare Law/Administration. Leann completed their studies in 2005, earning a Master of Public Health degree. In 2013, Leann attended Seton Hall University School of Law for a short period to obtain a Certificate in Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Law & Compliance, with a focus on Compliance Issues in Life Sciences.
