Analytical Development Operations Lead at Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute

Peter Cheslock started their work experience as a Lab technician at Boston University in 2000. Peter then pursued their graduate studies at Tufts University while working as a Graduate Student/Lab Manager from 2001 to 2008. From 2008 to 2013, they worked at MassBiologics as a Quality Control Senior Scientist and later as a QC IND Scientist. Peter joined UMass Medical School as an Instructor of Medicine in 2011 and held that position until 2016. In 2016, they joined Sartorius Stedim BioOutsource as a Senior Scientist until 2019. Peter then became the Manager of Laboratory Operations at Sartorius Stedim Biotech from 2019 to 2020. From 2020 to 2023, they served as the Head of Site Cambridge and later as a Senior Expert Cell Line and Testing Solutions at Sartorius. Currently, since 2023, they are working as an Analytical Development Operations Lead at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute.

Peter Cheslock earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General from Boston University, which they attended from 1998 to 2000. Following this, they pursued further education at Tufts University School of Medicine from 2001 to 2008, where they obtained their PhD in Genetics.
