Bill of Rights Institute
Taryn Murphy, a student fellow at the Bill of Rights Institute, is a varsity public forum competitor at the National Speech & Debate Association. Taryn has also competed in mock trial as a defense witness and served as NJR Director of Activism at The Junior State of America Foundation. Additionally, Taryn was the Girls State Gubernatorial Chief of Staff and a Civic Innovators Fellow at Civics Unplugged. Taryn has displayed strong leadership skills and a deep interest in government and civic engagement throughout their various roles and experiences.

The Bill of Rights Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in September 1999 that teaches civics and equips students and teachers to live the ideals of a free and just society.
