Katherina Nelson

Katherina Nelson has a diverse work experience. Katherina is currently a Software Developer at Billhighway, a position they began in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at TalentEi as a Software Developer from February 2020 to November 2021. Before transitioning into software development, Katherina was a Quality Assurance Analyst at Perficient from April 2019 to February 2020.

Before their career in the tech industry, Katherina worked as a Foreign Language Teacher at Bridgeport High School. Katherina taught Chinese and Spanish to high school students from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, they served as a Substitute Teacher at SEDOL and Libertyville School District 70, gaining experience in special education programs and teaching various grade levels.

Katherina Nelson obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Primary and Secondary Education, Spanish, and Chinese from Beloit College, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In 2013, they also participated in a Study Abroad/Exchange Program at Shandong University, focusing on Chinese studies. In 2019, they attended Grand Circus for a brief period, where they explored Front-End Software Development and gained knowledge in JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.
