Brandon Mercer

Brandon Mercer has a diverse work experience. Brandon is currently working as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Billigence, starting in March 2022. In this role, they have worked on projects such as developing a Snowflake and PowerBI proof of concept for the Attorney General's Department and creating automatic HR dashboards using PowerBI for the Personal Injury Commission.

Prior to joining Billigence, Brandon worked as a Junior BI Consultant at Billigence from November 2020 to March 2022. In this role, they were involved in projects such as constructing Tableau dashboards to analyze the cost of the Covid-19 pandemic on Services Australia, as well as outlining the scope of a merger project for SIRA NSW and uncovering new value for historical reports.

Before their work in Business Intelligence, Brandon worked as a Bartender/Liquor Store Manager at Lewis Hotels from August 2016 to November 2020. This role, held during their university education, provided him with strong communication skills and their first management experience.

In 2019, Brandon had a three-month internship as a Product Management Intern - Consumer Banking at Westpac's Barangaroo Office. This internship, during their third year of university, gave him their first corporate experience.

Brandon Mercer earned a Bachelor of Applied Finance and Bachelor of Business Analytics degree from Macquarie University from 2017 to 2020. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications including Alteryx Designer Advanced Certification from Alteryx in June 2021, SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake in February 2021, Alteryx Designer Core Certification from Alteryx in December 2020, and Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate Certification from Tableau Software in December 2020.
