Randy Thompson

Randy Thompson is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in health analytics, clinical decision support, and the optimization of information technology systems for clinician well-being. Currently serving as the Chief Health Analytics Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer at Billings Clinic since November 2008, Randy also has a background as an Emergency Physician. Previous roles include Interim Chief Information Officer, where strategic leadership in digital transformation was provided, and Medical Director of MedFlight Air Ambulance Service at Franciscan St Anthony Health. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Bradley University, along with ongoing studies toward a Master of Science in Predictive Analytics at Northwestern University.
