Johan Coppens

Johan Coppens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Johan currently works at Billtrust as a Lead Development Engineer, starting in June 2022. Before that, they worked at iController (now Billtrust) for almost 9 years, starting in January 2013 as a Developer and specializing in PHP development using the Symfony framework. In this role, they focused on exporting/importing clients' data to the software and integrating other platforms and services.

Prior to their time at iController, Johan worked at SmartFocus. From April 2011 to December 2012, they served as a Custom Development & Integration Specialist, building and extending PHP modules and creating custom solutions in various programming and scripting languages. Johan also worked as a Client Service Consultant from March 2010 to March 2011, providing technical and strategic consultancy, setting up personalized e-mail campaigns, and delivering small custom solutions.

Before their professional career, Johan had experience as a Java Developer in a student job at Hogeschool Gent, where they created a graphical interface in Java for a C program. Johan also worked as a PHP Developer intern from March 2008 to May 2008.
