BIM Manager at BIM One

Florent Cordewener has extensive work experience in the construction industry, with a focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital innovation. Florent most recently worked at BIM One as a BIM Manager, where they assisted multiple stakeholders in the construction industry in Quebec with their BIM implementation strategies. This included managing BIM processes and delivering practical and theoretical BIM training to various professionals in the construction field.

Prior to that, Cordewener worked at BYLOR Joint Venture as an Engineer BIM & Digital Innovation. In this role, they developed digital tools to automate 3D model reviews and facilitate collaborative workflows through the use of IFC and BCF files. Florent also represented the company at national and international events focused on digital innovation in the construction industry.

Cordewener has also worked as a Preconstruction BIM Methods Engineer at BYLOR Joint Venture on the Hinkley Point C project. Here, they were responsible for producing methods statements regarding reinforcement principles for various buildings on the nuclear island.

Florent Cordewener completed their education history with a Master's degree in Project Management, focusing on BIM and M&E specialisation, from the Ecole spéciale des Travaux publics, du Bâtiment et de l'Industrie. Florent attended this school from 2013 to 2017, studying Civil Engineering and Project Engineering. Prior to that, they obtained a License in Physics and Mathematics from the Preparatory school for French "Grandes Ecoles", Lycée Gustave Eiffel - Dijon (Burgundy), where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Florent has also obtained additional certifications, including the CanBIM Certified Professional (CP) from CanBIM is Building Transformations in May 2022 and TOEFL (score: 607/677) from ESTP Paris in April 2016.
