Sakthivel Kariappan

Sakthivel Kariappan has worked in the technology industry since 1998. Sakthivel began their career as a Senior Software (Lead) Engineer at Future Software (now Aricent). In 2003, they joined Ciena Corporation as a Senior Engineer. In 2004, they moved to Calix as a Senior Engineering Manager & Product Strategy, where they developed high-speed data-path designs and routing protocols, and served as a product line manager. In 2012, they were a Sr Software Architect at Cyan, Inc. (now part of Ciena), where they architected the product as a platform as a service leveraging Python extensively. In 2013, they joined VSS Monitoring (now part of NetScout) as Director, Software - Distributed Systems. In 2014, they were the Head of Mobile/ Cloud Applications at Ruckus Wireless (Now, part of Brocade), where they led product development across mobile and web applications, Cloud Backend and DevOps as a full-stack team. Currently, they are the Founder + CEO at Bindr.AI.

Sakthivel Kariappan obtained a B E in Electrical and Electronics from Madurai Kamaraj University between 1994 and 1998. Sakthivel also obtained a certification in Internet of Things: Business Implications and Opportunities from MIT Sloan Executive Education in October 2017.
