Jason Chan is the current director at Bingo Industries. Prior to this, they were with Sembcorp where they served as the Chief Executive Officer from June 2006 to February 2008. Jason was responsible for China’s largest lead acid battery recycling company which was a 50:50 joint venture between SembCorp Environment and Chunxing Alloy Group. The group was headquartered in Nanjing with plants in Jiangsu and Chongqing. Jason had a total staff of more than 720 people under their charge, including 4 other expatriates.

From January 2019 to August 2020, Jason Chan held the position of SVP, Middle East, South Africa, Americas & Bangladesh Markets and Head, Environmental Sustainability at Sembcorp. In this role, they had P&L responsibility for Power and Water assets in United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bangladesh, Chile and Panama. Jason was also a Board Director in 9 portfolio companies and was responsible for Group Environmental Sustainability strategy, direction, policy, initiatives, and programs.

Prior to their role as SVP, Jason Chan was the Vice President, Group Asset Management at Sembcorp Industries Ltd from February 2008 to July 2015. Before that, they were Head of the Scholarship Unit at SembCorp Industries Ltd from June 2003 to May 2005.

Jason Chan has a MBA from the Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master's in Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management, an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the same school.
