Shawn Darnall

Shawn Darnall is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in materials science and chromatography. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Bio-Rad Laboratories since June 2019, Shawn Darnall focuses on Chemistry and Process Chromatography R&D. Previously, Shawn Darnall was a Senior Scientist at Bio-Rad Laboratories and a Scientific Researcher in the Ting Xu Research Group from 2013 to 2018, where responsibilities included designing and scaling up chemical processes, project management, and mentoring. Shawn Darnall also served as an Assistant Instructor at UC Berkeley, receiving recognition for teaching excellence, and has experience as a Laboratory Safety Officer and research roles at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Shawn Darnall holds an MS/Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Cornell University.
