Wajahat Hussain has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Wajahat is the Founder and CEO of BIORESTORE AB since January 2019. Prior to that, they founded JourneyPakistan.com in March 2017. Wajahat also worked as a Guest Lecturer in 2017. From September 2017 to July 2022, Wajahat worked at GANT, initially as a Strategic Product Innovation Developer and later as a Sustainability and Innovation Developer. In these roles, they focused on researching and discovering new technologies with a focus on circularity and sustainability in materials, chemicals, and garment systems. Wajahat also led the technical development in the product development process and actively sought information and knowledge contributing to technical development. In 2016, they worked at IKEA Group as part of the Sales-Adept Programmet textiles. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Levi Strauss & Co. as a Product Developer, where they managed a team responsible for buying, developing, sourcing, and selling seasonal Denim/Chino range. Wajahat was also accountable for sales, quality, on-time production, and other aspects of product development. Prior to that, between 2011 and 2012, Wajahat worked at Azgard9 Ltd as a Product Manager. From 2010 to 2011, they worked at Next Ltd as a Sourcing Merchandiser, where they assisted with range/product development, material sourcing, production, and other related tasks. Finally, from 2007 to 2009, they worked at Azgard9 Ltd as an Assistant Product Manager, where they assisted with seasonal range development, procurement, and communication with UK and Scandinavian markets. Throughout their career, Wajahat achieved several accomplishments such as reducing replenishment lead time, reducing trim costs, and improving OTIF (On-Time In-Full) for various companies.

Wajahat Hussain's education history begins in 2001 when they attended Bahria College for their high school education, studying pre-engineering. In 2003, they enrolled at the Textile Institute of Pakistan, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Textile Sciences, completing their studies in 2007.

After a gap of several years, Wajahat Hussain joined the University of Borås in 2016 to pursue a Master's degree in Textile Management, which they completed in 2017. In 2020, they participated in the STING Incubator Program, a 1-year startup incubator program focused on Business Administration and Management.

Looking ahead, in the years 2022 and 2023, Wajahat Hussain is expected to join two additional educational programs. The first one, the H&M Foundation Global Accelerator with Accenture & Mills Fabric, does not specify the degree or field of study. The second program, the H&M Foundation Global Change Accelerator, is an Accelerator Program, again not specifying the field of study but likely related to business or entrepreneurship.
