Ahmed Shaaban

Ahmed Shaaban is a Field Application Scientist at Bio-Techne, providing scientific support for Simple Western and Cellular Analysis products in the EMEA region since July 2023. Concurrently, Ahmed serves as a Visiting Lecturer at The German University in Cairo, delivering pharmacology and toxicology courses. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at the University of Copenhagen, focusing on 3D organoids and intestinal cultures, and another postdoctoral position at the Max-Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine, where research centered on SNARE proteins in exocytosis. Ahmed holds a PhD in Neurophysiology from Universität des Saarlandes, a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from The German University in Cairo. Early career experience includes quality control microbiology at EVA pharma.
