Brian Haynes

Brian Haynes serves as the Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Bioinformatics for the Molecular Diagnostics Division at Bio-Techne since April 2021, following a significant tenure at Asuragen where positions included Director of Bioinformatics & Software. Prior to these roles, Brian held various titles related to bioinformatics at the Department of Molecular Microbiology at Washington University in St. Louis, where responsibilities included managing NGS experiment design and developing machine learning algorithms. Initial career experience involved software engineering at Stereotaxis and consulting roles focusing on 3D graphics programming. Brian earned a PhD and MS in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Memphis.
