Jessica Schicks

Jessica Schicks is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in developing countries, currently serving as a Senior Investment Officer for BIO - the Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries since April 2018, focusing on debt, equity, and quasi-equity transactions. Previously, Jessica held the role of Chief Operations Officer, Deputy CEO, and Executive Director at AB Bank Zambia, where significant achievements included doubling business growth and managing various crises. Jessica's earlier career includes consulting positions at McKinsey & Company, where projects spanned corporate turnarounds and modernization efforts in banking, along with consultancy roles at numerous organizations including UNCDF and KfW Development Bank. Jessica holds a PhD in Economics and Management from the Centre for European Research in Microfinance and multiple degrees, including an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge.
