Krishna Bairavi Soundararajan

Krishna Bairavi Soundararajan has a diverse work experience in the field of AI and data science. Krishna Bairavi is currently working at BioAI Health as a Lead AI Scientist since June 2022, and previously held the position of Senior AI Scientist from October 2021 to June 2022. Before that, they worked at Genentech as a Data Scientist from March 2021 to November 2021.

In 2020, Krishna worked at Bola AI as a Machine Learning Engineer from February 2020 to February 2021. Krishna Bairavi also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science, focusing on deep learning for retinal imaging, under the supervision of Dr. John Galeotti from August 2019 to January 2020.

In 2019, Krishna gained experience as a Data Science Intern at Mayo Clinic, where they worked on projects related to Alzheimer's disease, including developing a chatbot prototype and a Q&A system using transformer-based architectures. Krishna Bairavi also performed knee joint space localization for studying knee osteoarthritis using U-Net.

In earlier roles, Krishna worked as a Data Science Intern at Scriplogix in 2018, conducted research on machine learning and brain imaging for Alzheimer's disease patients as a Research Intern at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 2017, and served as a Research Assistant at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2017. Krishna Bairavi also gained research experience as a Research Intern at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in 2016 and worked as a Product Engineering Intern at PERFINT HEALTHCARE Pvt Ltd. in 2015.

From 1998 to 2013, they attended Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Sr. Sec. School where they obtained their High School degree with a focus on Computer Science.

From 2013 to 2017, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering at SSN College of Engineering.

In 2019, they obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Additionally, in June 2019, they obtained a certification in Deep Learning from deeplearning.ai.
