Tom Chittenden, PhD, DPhil, PStat has an extensive work experience in various scientific and research roles. Tom currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer and President of Research and Development at BioAI Health, where they oversee global R&D initiatives and leads the development of the Bio-AI Health Digital Pathology PREDICT-X Drug Discovery and Development platform. Tom is also the Chairman of the Scientific and Medical Advisory Board at BioAI Health.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Chittenden has held several positions at different organizations. Tom was the Chairman and Founding President of the Complex Biological Systems Alliance, a global non-profit research consortium focused on biology and medicine. Tom has also served as an Advisory Board Member at Quantum Security Grid (QsecGRID), an infrastructure-independent data security company.

Dr. Chittenden has had a significant involvement with Harvard Medical School, where they worked as a Lecturer on Pediatrics and held roles as a Senior Biostatistician and Computational Biologist. Tom was responsible for developing mathematical and statistical models to advance the understanding of complex biological systems. Tom also taught instructional courses on functional genomics and delivered regular seminars on biostatistics.

Furthermore, Dr. Chittenden has held leadership positions at HiberCell, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer and President and Founding Director of AI/SciML Research and Development Initiative. Tom established and led the development of the HiberCell QuAD3 platform, used for molecular mechanism research in drug discovery. Additionally, they were the President and Founding Director of the Genuity AI Research Institute at Genuity Science, where they focused on advancing scientific knowledge of biological complexity and human disease.

Dr. Chittenden has been actively involved in research and academia, serving as a Research Scholar in Theoretical Systems Biology at the Ronin Institute and as a Visiting Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Tom has also been a Scientific Advisor at Pathway Genomics and a Visiting Research Scientist at the University of Oxford.

Tom Chittenden, PhD, DPhil, PStat, has an extensive education history in the fields of statistics, bioinformatics, molecular cell biology, biotechnology, exercise physiology, and biochemistry. Tom holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Cell Biology and Biotechnology from Virginia Tech, which they completed in 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Exercise Physiology and Biochemistry from the University of Southern California in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) degree in Exercise Science from The University of Kansas in 1993.

In addition to these degrees, Tom also completed a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) degree in Statistics at the University of Oxford in 2012, where they specialized in the field of statistics. Tom also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Bioinformatics, which they obtained from the same university in 2006.

To further enhance their expertise, Tom obtained the Accredited Professional Statistician™ certification from the American Statistical Association in June 2016.
