Lake N. Paul, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lake N. is currently the Founder and President of BioAnalysis, LLC, a unique Contract Research Organization (CRO) that specializes in personalized collaborations using biophysical and analytical chemistry techniques, as well as gene therapy analytical method development and validation. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Bioconjugate Chemistry at Abzena, where they managed three departments and oversaw all discovery functions, process development, and cGMP manufacturing. Before joining Abzena, Dr. Paul worked as a Senior Scientist at Triclinic Labs, Inc., where they developed routine solid-state analytical testing methods and collaborated with key opinion leaders for method development and validation. Dr. Paul also held the position of Director at the Biophysics Analysis Lab and the Purdue Proteomics Facility at Purdue University, where they supervised scientists and introduced novel mass spectrometric approaches. Lake N. began their career as a Post Doctoral Fellow (IRTA) at NIEHS, focusing on the development of mass spectrometric techniques and epitope mapping. Prior to their research career, Dr. Paul worked as a teacher at Miami Northwestern Senior High School.
Lake N. Paul, PhD, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Religious Studies from the University of Miami from 1996 to 2000. Later, from 1998 to 1999, Lake pursued further studies in Biology/Biological Sciences at the University of East Anglia. Eventually, Lake earned a Doctorate in Structural Biology and Biophysics from Purdue University, completing the program from 2001 to 2007.
