Kirsten Deytrikh

Business Development Associate (secondment) at BioAscent

Kirsten Deytrikh has held a variety of roles in the scientific and retail industries. Kirsten began their career in 2009 as a Chemistry MSci student at The University of Glasgow, where they focused on the development of a novel cascade reaction for the formation of tri-substituted furans. In 2010, they worked as a Domestic Assistant at The University of Edinburgh, where they gained experience in timekeeping and organization. In 2012, they worked as an Intern in Medicinal Chemistry at RocheBasel and as a Retail Assistant at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. From 2014 to 2018, they were a PhD Student at the University of Cambridge, where they developed and applied novel palladium-catalysed methods for the synthesis of useful small molecules. Kirsten is currently employed as a Senior Scientist at Vernalis, a role they have held since 2018.

Kirsten Deytrikh began their education in 2003 at Firrhill High School. From 2009 to 2014, they attended the University of Glasgow, where they earned an MSci in Chemistry. Kirsten continued their studies at the University of Cambridge, where they received a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry in 2018.
