David Goldstein

David B. Goldstein is a prominent geneticist and entrepreneur currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Actio BioSciences, Inc. since August 2021 and as a Co-Founder of Praxis Precision Medicines, Inc. since January 2019. Goldstein previously held the position of Director and Professor at the Columbia University Institute for Genomic Medicine from January 2015 to November 2021. Prior to that, Goldstein was the Director of the Center for Human Genome Variation and a Professor at Duke University School of Medicine (June 2005 - December 2014), and served as the Wolfson Professor of Genetics at University College London (June 1999 - June 2005). Additional roles include Honorary Professor at University College London and University Lecturer at the University of Oxford. Goldstein began academic research as an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Penn State University from September 1994 to August 1996.
