Sara Winn

Sara Winn, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of data and analytics. Sara is currently working at BioCentury Inc. as an Associate Director of Data & Analytics since January 2023. Before that, they held roles at the same company as a Senior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence from June 2022 to January 2023, and as a Business Intelligence Analyst from September 2021 to June 2022. Prior to joining BioCentury Inc., they worked as a Data Analyst from June 2021 to September 2021.

Sara also gained experience in science communication during their time as a Science Communication Intern at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from January 2021 to June 2021. Before that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University from August 2016 to June 2021.

Additionally, Sara has research experience as a Research Assistant at Elmira College from 2013 to 2016, where they collaborated on the development of a portable Arduino sensor for determining methanol and ethanol content in whiskey. Sara also characterized whiskey flavor profiles using various techniques. Sara also worked as a Research Assistant at West Virginia University for a brief period in 2015.

Sara Winn, Ph.D. earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University, where they studied from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained dual Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics from Elmira College, completing their studies there from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their academic achievements, Sara has also obtained several certifications, including "Nano Tips for Aspiring Product Managers with Cherie Luo," "PowerPoint: Eight Easy Ways to Make Your Presentation Stand Out," and "Introduction to Graphic Design: Concepts," all from LinkedIn in the year 2024.
