Martin Hindle has extensive experience in leadership roles within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Martin currently serves as the Interim Chair of the Audit Committee at the Biochemical Society since January 2023. Hindle has been a member of the Court and Council at the University of Leicester since June 2012, and has held the position of Chairman at the Health Innovation Network East Midlands since June 2013. Previously, Hindle contributed as a Non-Executive Director on the Advisory Board at Public Health England until March 2021 and served as Chair at Porton Biopharma Ltd from April 2015 to December 2019. Hindle was the Deputy Chair of the Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) from September 2012 to September 2018, and also held the role of Chairman at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust from January 2007 to September 2013. Earlier in their career, Hindle was CEO at Cable&Wireless Nautec and held positions including Global Commercial Director at Fisons Pharmaceutical Division. Hindle holds a Master of Science in Industrial Administration and a Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours from the University of Bradford.
