Katherine Velasco

Katherine Velasco is a seasoned dental professional currently serving as an ADA Faculty Ambassador for the American Dental Association since April 2024, and actively involved with the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) since April 2020 in various leadership roles, including MADI Chair Elect and Secretary. Katherine has contributed significantly to the Hispanic Dental Association as Vice President and Co-Chair of Service & Outreach since January 2019. As an Assistant Professor and Team Leader at Nova Southeastern University since June 2023, Katherine also founded the Hispanic Dental Association chapter at Roseman University, where a Medical/Dental Spanish course was implemented to enhance student communication with Spanish-speaking patients. Educational credentials include a DDS from Universidad Metropolitana and advanced training in cosmetic dentistry from the University of Michigan.
