Gopal Rao

Gopal Rao is an experienced professional in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as Associate Vice President at Biocon Biologics since September 2022. Previously, Gopal held the position of General Manager in Global Business Development and Licensing at Lupin from October 2021 to October 2022, following a tenure at Lupin Limited from June 2015 to December 2021 as Deputy General Manager in the same division, and earlier as Senior Manager of Global Business Development and Services Outsourcing. Gopal's career at Biocon spanned from April 2007 to May 2015, where responsibilities included senior management roles in business development and marketing for CIS operations, as well as program management for custom manufacturing. Gopal holds an MSc in Medical Genetics from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, and Genetics from Bangalore University.
