Katie Casamassina

Katie Casamassina currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Development at the American Heart Association since September 2025. Prior to this role, Katie held several positions at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, advancing from Officer to Associate Director of Development between August 2021 and September 2025. Additionally, Katie was the Director of Relay For Life at Virginia Tech while working at the American Cancer Society from August 2017 to July 2021. In late 2019, Katie contributed as an Education & Youth Development Volunteer with Fondazione Marcegaglia. Currently pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Social Finance at NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Leadership & Social Change from Virginia Tech.
