Ajay Sharma

Ajay Sharma currently serves as Head of Portfolio & Intellectual Property Management at BIOCON LIMITED, where responsibilities include leading global portfolio management and intellectual property rights functions and establishing a portfolio management team since August 2021. Previously, Ajay held the position of Director of Intellectual Property Management at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories from July 2011 to August 2021, overseeing a team of 12 and managing strategic IP projects throughout the product portfolio development lifecycle. Earlier experience includes roles as Assistant General Manager at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd, managing patent-related functions for generics, and Group Leader of the IP Team at Ranbaxy, ensuring effective management of IP portfolios. Ajay Sharma holds an Executive MBA in Finance from SP Jain School of Global Management and an MS in Pharmaceutics from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research.
