Arun Gupta

Arun Gupta currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Biocon, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Arun held significant positions in the pharmaceutical industry, including Head of Global API Manufacturing at Viatris from February 2021 to March 2023, and Executive Vice President & Site Head of Manufacturing at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories from July 2014 to February 2021. Arun's experience also includes serving as Director of API Manufacturing at Ranbaxy and Senior Manager of Manufacturing at Lupin. Starting a career as a Project Engineer at SM DYE CHEM, Arun has developed extensive expertise in API manufacturing, both sterile and non-sterile. Arun holds an MBA in Finance from Indira Gandhi National Open University, a Certificate in Supply Chain Management from the Indian School of Business, and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal.
