Graham Hymus

Graham Hymus began their career in 1999 as a Site Manager at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Kennedy Space Center, U.S.A. In 2002, they moved to the Laboratory of Forest Ecology in Universita della Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy as a Post-Doctoral Researcher. In 2005, they became a Research Associate at the Department of Biological Sciences in Northern Arizona University, U.S.A. In 2007, they joined Mendel Biotechnology, Inc. as a Senior - Principal Scientist. In this role, they established and managed the plant-physiology functional group, designed, developed, established and managed Arabidopsis and wheat screening platforms, and extended these platforms to screen synthetic and microbe-derived compound libraries for yield and stress tolerance. In 2014, they joined BioConsortia, Inc. as the Director of Plant Biology. In this role, they play a lead role in the science and intellectual property strategy underlying company goals, directs the 'Row Crop Improvement Program' for yield and yield stability traits, and ensures scientific rigor and product viability considerations inform lead advancement.

Graham Hymus obtained their Ph.D in Environmental Plant Physiology from the University of Essex, U.K. in 1999. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc. in Crop Production in Changing Environment from the same university in 1995. Before that, they obtained a BSc. in Environmental Science from the University of Greenwich between 1990 and 1993.
