Matthias Scheffler

Matthias drives the development, execution and communication of the corporate and scientific mission. He builds and fosters partnerships throughout the scientific community to apply metabolomics to real-world problems. Together with the CTO, Therese, he works to position biocrates as the number one metabolomics company in the wider omics ecosystem. He oversees the scientific content experts and encourages knowledge-sharing across international research cohorts, so metabolomics can grow to its true potential.

Matthias has extensive experience both in the lab and in leading multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, developers and engineers. He has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bochum and joined biocrates in 2015.
